1974 Porsche 911S; updated to a 3.0 and 915 gearbox, Non-Sunroof Coupe
Lithe, narrow and with a solid roof: here is a fun little 911. Guards Red over Black, non-sunroof 911 "S" coupe with a 1978 911 SC 3.0 engine installed. This little 911 drives great" very strong 3.0... superb sound and pull. The 915 gearbox shifts super smooth and easy, clutch bite is solid and brakes are great: it's a really fun car!
Recent full service and valve adjustment plus "new:" wires, distributor cap, alternator, fined oil lines, oil cooler, front rotors and pads, rear Bilstien Sport shocks, engine mounts, transmission mounts, shift couplings, hoses, oil lines and the installation of an oil cooler kit and the fitment of new tires. Over $11k in a documented receipt.
Paint looks very nice and has excellent shine and luster and nice finish but is a full repaint, date unknown. No major scratches or dents; minor imperfections only and overall achieves a nice presentable look. Anodized chrome bright work is quite nice. Windshield bears slight wiper scrape left side. Updated headlights but originals are with the car. Interior is respectable seats are re-trimmed and have Alcantera like fabric center sections. Headliner is very good. Small dash crack at the usual place, missing glove box latch and missing one carpet mat (right side rear,) rest of carpet is quite nice likely not original.
Electrics work accept high low switch. Oil temp gauge needs calibration, front shocks are getting close to replacement, same with fuel accumulator. No chain tensioner update.
On the hole a fun, fast and light 911 with well above average cosmetics and mechanicals. The car makes a great weekend driver or an excellent candidate for a track car or as a base to retro-fit flares, nose and rear creating an RS clone. Plus no CA SMOG requirements. Please call 650-261-1777.
